Lisa Lim was born and raised in Queens, New York where she grew up listening to magical storytellers like her Chinese grandmother and her Puerto Rican stepmother. She was immersed in many cultures and has tried to capture this unique experience through odd and funny pictures and words.
Her fiction and art have appeared in several publications such as Guernica Magazine, The Nashville Review, Pank Magazine, and more. This summer she just finished illustrating a children’s book called “Soma So Strange” written by Carrie Rosten. Recently her illustrations have been featured at the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery.
